Punkin Chunkin is here

The weather looks promising as fun, food and flying pumpkins return for the ninth annual Punkin Chunkin in Brasstown this weekend. Competitors armed with catapults, air cannons and maybe even some trebuchets will throw pumpkins from a few hundred to thousands of feet to vie for the coveted title of Clay County Punkin Chunkin champion.
Participants include:
• Hayesville's own Tony and Butch Wiegold with their air cannon, SignsFast Shooter.
• Also from Hayesville, Larry and Sonja Silvers’ air cannon, Splat.
