The Brasstown Concert Association welcomes 2017 with a performance by the Jewel Tones, an ensemble of the North Carolina Baroque Orchestra. “We are extremely fortunate to have in our state the rich resource of the North Carolina Baroque Orchestra, whose ensembles showcase the variety and depth of baroque music,” comments BCA Board member Carole Hall.
Founded in 2011 by sisters Frances Blaker and Barbara Blaker Krumdieck, NCBO is formed of master musicians from all over the state who play on period instruments the exact replicas of those used by Bach, Handel, Vivaldi and their contemporaries. The ensembles of NCBO also include acclaimed artists from around the United States and abroad.
