Clay County commissioners have their hands on a budget the county manager says includes the county’s matching grant funds for the new school for grades Pre-K through second.
The $21.8 million general fund proposed budget has no across-the-board salary increases and funds few new positions in county departments, but it is balanced, Pullium said.
The commissioners met briefly Friday morning to receive the document. A public hearing on the budget is scheduled at 7 p.m. Thursday before the commission’s regular monthly meeting in the multipurpose room of the courthouse.
