‘I have no plans to leave early,’ –Sheriff Vic Davis

Republican sheriff’s candidate Bobby Deese has been named Chief Deputy of the Clay County Sheriff’s Office. The move is fueling rumors that Sheriff Vic Davis may retire early after suffering health complications several months ago. However, Davis said he is feeling well and plans to fulfill his term.
“I have no plans to leave early,” Davis said. “If I did decide to leave early the decision of who would take my place would be made by the Clay County Board of Commissioners.
