By a vote of 3-2, in a special called meeting Friday, the Clay County Commission approved a contract with Air Methods Advantage for emergency air transportation services for all Clay County residents, their household members and children up to age 26.
The fee for air transport to a medical facility is to be paid by the county at a cost of about $13,000 per year. The actual cost is $26,467.50 but commissioners were told Union General Hospital in Blairsville will pick up 50 percent.
