Holocaust series gives students new perspective

For students born many decades after World War II ended, the Holocaust may only be a word they have heard in social studies or while watching a movie, but for a group of Hayesville Middle School Jr. Beta students, the Holocaust will become more real when they visit the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum during a trip to Washington, D.C. in April. 
In an effort to better prepare the students for their museum visit, HMS administrators and some teachers are teaching them the reality of it. On Monday nights for a few weeks, students and parents have the opportunity to attend voluntary educational sessions at the school.
