State’s numbers reported third highest in the nation

North Carolina’s enrollments statewide in the Affordable Care Act (ACA) health insurance plan for 2018 were the third highest in the nation, trailing only Florida and Texas, according to the governor’s office.
The open enrollment window of opportunity for choosing a health plan under the ACA ended Dec. 15. Gov. Roy Cooper’s office released a statement last week noting 523,989 North Carolinians signed up and will receive health insurance this year through the ACA.
