Board discusses issues caused by hazardous weather
Blue Ridge Mountain Electric Membership Corporation General Manager Jeremy Nelms used a current electric statement for his own home to explain the correlation between cold temperatures and high electric usage during Tuesday’s EMC board meeting.
“The recent cold weather is creating quite a bit of a buzz on social media. That can be a great avenue, but this one is just not accurate,” Nelms said referring to complaints recently posted on Facebook.
