
The Hayesville Board of Adjustment has granted a special use permit clearing the way for the opening of a new farm-to-table restaurant in the former butcher shop at 893 Highway 64 Business.
Board members gave their unanimous approval Thursday evening to Mike Plummer, who operates Southbound Restaurant on Peachtree Road in Chamblee, Ga.
Plummer told the board he envisions a restaurant and brew pub with a menu to include locally grown farm products, including Brasstown Beef from Steve Whitmire’s Ridgefield Farm.
