Clay’s Corner is history

If nothing else, Clay Logan is clear about one thing. “The Possum Drop is on,” Logan said Friday. “That’s a definite.”
While the popular New Year’s Eve event will continue this year and beyond, Logan said he plans to close his famous store, Clay’s Corner, on Thursday.
Logan has owned the store since 1988. It started as a produce stand at the intersection of Brasstown Road and Old Highway 64 during the end of World War II.
