Wreck results in extensive damages

An elderly Helen man was airlifted to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville  as the result of a three car accident on Wednesday, May 17.

 Richard Lloyd, 76, was traveling north through the traffic light at the intersection of Highway 69 and Highway 64 in Hayesville when his vehicle was struck on the passenger side by a westbound vehicle driven by Johanna Maddox, of Hayesville.
