World War II vets part of the ‘Greatest Generation’

Six local veterans made the May 13th trip on an Honor Flight from Asheville; however, two of the World War II veterans are Clay County natives who have been written about in the Clay County Progress. With World War II nothing more than stories from high school history books for some people, here are  abbreviated versions of two real World War II stories from people close to home.
