According to Clay County Sheriff Vic Davis, in the early morning hours of Wednesday, Jan. 18, Clay County Deputies were dispatched to the Ridgeline Apartments on Highway 64 E in reference to a burglary.
It appears the suspect entered the apartment and woke up one of the residents. When the resident went to investigate a noise in the kitchen area, the suspect struck him with his fist and then fled from the residence. The victim was not seriously injured.
Investigators are looking for a man described as being approximately 6 feet tall, white with a slim build; he was also wearing dark clothing.
