County Mounties from Hayesville Lawrence Beal, director and Paula Palmer; Anne Weekes from Lebanon, Tenn. and K-9 SAR Janet Geist from Ala participated in a massive community search in Dickson Co., Tenn., for the remains of missing 5-year-old “Baby Joe” Clyde Daniels. Five hundred volunteers were assigned to teams of 50 persons each searching one arm’s length apart in a grid search. The search was extremely well organized and conducted by the Dickson County sheriff’s department who also used multiple community resources and support personnel. Many acres were searched giving the sheriff’s department more information for their on-going criminal investigation. County Mounties is a volunteer non-profit, 501C3 organization, with units throughout the southeastern U.S.
