Old Unicoi Trail Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution focused on founders as gardeners, notable women in members’ lives and memorializing daughters and family at its March meeting at the Union County Public Library.

Members deposited evening wear for donation to the DAR Tamassee School Thrift Store.

The donation will be presented during a field trip, Monday, April 30. The chapter’s Conservation Committee sponsored a table topic including resources on a variety of conservation subjects. The chapter continued its silent auction of an original work of Georgia artist Whit Harris Robbins donated by Karen Alsup, corresponding secretary, of Blue Ridge. Guests included Jane Collier, a prospective member, and David Cook of the Blue Ridge Mountain Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution.
