Town annexes the former chamber property

The Hayesville Town Council voted unanimously Monday to annex property near the roundabout and formerly occupied by the Clay County Chamber of Commerce, which has moved downtown just off town square. The council also heard a positive update on remodeling of the historic Clay County courthouse and began discussing how signs on the courthouse lawn will be managed in coming months during an election cycle.
