New health director hired

A Spring Lake, N.C. woman has been hired as director of the Clay County Health Department, confirmed County Manager Mark Pullium Monday afternoon. Stephanie Johnson is the new health director. She has a masters in public health and a masters in business administration. "It was a rigorous process," Pullium said of the hiring process. Johnson works for the Centers for Disease Control.
