Accused woman was assistant manager at Save-A-Lot

The store’s assistant manager and her boyfriend have been charged in the November armed robbery of Save-A-Lot in Hiawassee, according to Police Chief Paul Smith. They remain in jail without bail.
Smith said after an extensive investigation, Chelsea Alferink, 20, assistant manager of Save-A-Lot, and her boyfriend Daniel Walls, 29, have been charged with armed robbery. Alferink faces an additional charge of “false statements and writings.”
