Veterans hit the streets to raise awareness of abuse

As part of its commitment to serve our communities in peace and security, the George Lee American Legion Post and auxiliary walked in support of elder abuse awareness. The walk was coordinated by our local care center and its board.Elder abuse happens most often where seniors live, caused by adult children or other family members. It also happens in institutional settings, especially long-term facilities. Abuse of elders occurs in many ways.
