
“It’s only 41 days away, folks.” Those words spoken by Lee Holland, Clay County’s Eclipse Task Force co-chairman, resounded through the group’s regular July 11 meeting. Knowing time for preparing is running short, group members explained plans to attendees which included some new faces.
One month from now, early on the afternoon of Monday, Aug. 21, the skies over Clay County will turn to twilight during the first stages of a rare celestial event.
