
“I came up rough,” says Annie Lloyd, the woman who has been affectionately known as "Ms. Annie" to thousands of school children since she took a job at the Hayesville schools' cafeteria in 1987. Raised in a house located on her grandmother’s employer’s land, she is the eldest of five children. The children were raised jointly by both their mother, Frances Pinnion and their grandmother, Sadie Harrison.
