
“We’re probably in better shape than we’ve been in years. The golf course is in the best shape for this time of year that we’ve seen in four to five years.” This sunny assessment comes from Richard Kelley, chairman of the board of the Clay County Rural Development Authority, which owns and operates Chatuge Shores Golf Course and Pool.
Spring rains have added new luster to the greens and fairways. On a recent weekday, the Greenside Grill was serving a tableful of happy golfers. The staff is prepping the pool for an opening target date —Memorial Day weekend.
