Under a canopy of fall weather, the fourth annual Steins & Wine Around the Square, sponsored by Historic Hayesville, Inc., was a well-attended event.
Boasting more than 400 visitors according to spokesperson Sandy Zimmerman, she said, “We are still counting the tickets that were sold and the money raised.
“We should be able to make a substantial donation to the Clay County Communities Revitalization Association’s Historic Courthouse Restoration fund,” she said.
With 10 breweries and wineries set up around the square, visitors were able to sample the wares of local vendors and enjoy food and music.
Among the offerings of food, Donna Gains of High Country Meadows had samples of her homemade goat cheeses to go with the drinks. The Hayesville Civitans offered tasty desserts and fresh items off the grill were provided by HHI.
