The Friday night concert series in Hayesville resumes on Friday, June 28.
Clay County Community Revitalization Association will be welcoming the contemporary folk-americana sounds of The Raven & Red Trio. There will be food, beer and wine for purchase from Hayesville Brewing Company starting at 6 p.m. along with the American Legion selling hot dogs, popcorn and other refreshments.
The music will begin at 7 p.m. and conclude at 9 p.m. There is no charge for entrance to the concert; however, we do pass the red bucket for donations to help us pay for the cost of the bands.
Based in Nashville, Raven & Red is comprised of classically trained musicians who collectively present a vocal and instrumental harmony that will lift your spirits and warm your soul.
Their newly released album, “We Rise Up,” has been enthusiastically applauded as “one of the best debut country albums of the year by bridging traditional music with a modern update.” Raven & Red has been compared to legendary artists such as the Eagles, The Stone Poneys, The Byrds, Jim Croce and John Denver.
In addition to the red buckets, concerts are sponsored by private individuals, area businesses and organizations.
As you support these local businesses, please thank them for the gift they helped in order for this event to be a success.
Historic Hayesville Inc. has a round-trip parking shuttle available to transport you from your car to the square. Look for the signs in and around the square directing you to shuttle pick-up locations. If the weather should turn bad, the concert will move indoors to the Historic Clay County Courthouse at The Beal Center. In the event this happens, we ask that you leave your lawn chairs in the car and come up to the courtroom and enjoy the show. For details call (828) 389-1181.
