Hinton Rural Life Center is now accepting applications for its 2019 Home Repair ministry.
To qualify for assistance from Hinton Center, the person should own — not rent — the home or property. It must be a safe working environment for our groups and there must be a financial need or extenuating circumstances.
Hinton Center typically makes repairs within a one-hour drive time radius of Clay and Cherokee counties in North Carolina and Towns County in Georgia . Our construction coordinator selects appropriate work sites based upon specific criteria, as well as the skill and preferences of the registered volunteers.
Hinton volunteers are not professionals. We conduct a variety of repairs, but no roofing.
Applications must be received by Monday, April 15 and are available at the following locations: Clay County Food Pantry, Matt’s Ministry, Clay County Health Department, Department of Social Services, Moss Memorial Library, Mountain Regional Library in Young Harris, Towns County Public Library in Hiawassee, Murphy Public Library in Murphy, Hinton Rural Life Center or online at: www.HintonCenter.org on our “Mission Outreach and Service” page.
