Fort Hembree Baptist Church invites everyone to their Summer Fun in the Sun event, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 21 at the Clay County Recreation Center in Hayesville. The event is free and features free food, bounce houses, games and special guest youth artist, Dre Hilton.
Hilton is known for his dancing and electrifying energy on stage. He comes from a musical family and he got his start playing drums for his father’s church at the age of 5. He learned piano at age 11 and then developed skills as a songwriter and music producer, according to his bio.
Hilton combined his skills and set off on a career in children’s music. In 2014 he released his first single called “Yes I Can Can” which has become a big hit in the United States and other countries. The music teaches kids to dream big and stresses the importance of education.
When he is not on the Grand Majestic stage in Pigeon Forge, Tenn, Hilton travels the country performing children’s show at schools, churches and boys and girls clubs.
“I’m living my dream and enjoying it every minute,” said Hilton.
